Samsung’s Exynos 9611 might not be that popularly known among mobile lovers. The device was officially launched by the company on 30th July 2018. It is the first 7-nanometer based system on chip (SoC) developed using extreme ultraviolet (EUV) lithography technology. Other than this, it is also the first focused on Artificial Intelligence (AI) purpose devices.
Exynos 9611 Processors
Like every product in the market, Exynos 9611 comes with its own pros and cons. But I bet you would be looking to see if it fits your requirements or not! Let us look into them! Although it is one of the latest launches, 9611 features are already being noticed by thousands. The processor uses a 10nm process, giving it higher performance over previous generations while consuming less power. Samsung has introduced their new line of Exynos 9611 vs snapdragon processors. They are extremely fast, accurate, and highly efficient which makes them an excellent choice for any device.
The Exynos 9611, is another great device from Samsung. This is the next-generation mobile processor with many exciting improvements. The processor has enhanced AI capabilities along with a 14-bit dual ISP framework for image processing, Support for UHD HFR (High Frame Rate) video recording at 120fps, the color composition is improved to 14-bits with 4 times the number of shades of gray with 4 color channels. Exynos 9611 is an efficient chip for different mobile platforms.
Matter of fact
It is in no way behind in terms of performance in relation to its previous versions Exynos 9611. As a matter of fact, it can produce the same amount of power as the Galaxy S9+ without any battery issues with an ultra-low power consumption rate of 0.69W/MHz. The Exynos 9611 chipset is built with a heterogeneous multi-cluster (HMC) consisting of two high-performance and six low-power core processors. It also offers eight security engines and fast Wi-Fi, among other features. Set to keep up with Samsung’s latest Galaxy S10 flagship, the company’s new Exynos 9 chip is built into phones like the Galaxy S8, Galaxy Note 8, and the J8. It comes after months of speculation on what would come after its predecessor, the Exynos 9611.
The new 4G LTE chip purpose-built for mobile devices comes with some exciting features, including Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology. It is a true octa-core chipset and has many advantages in speed and power over 8 cores. Provides up to 2.9GB of RAM and great multi-tasking capabilities: supports 1380:720@30fps video recording, 3 lens camera with 9/13MP, 140 degrees wide viewing angle front LED flash. Samsung Exynos 9611 is a leading industry standard chipset that supports AI, cameras, and heterogeneous platforms.
AI features and next-gen
With intelligent multi-camera support, 960FPS super-slow motion support, AI features, and next-gen immersive display, Samsung Exynos 9611 gives the best user experience. Only Samsung has developed a highly efficient system LSI for AI engine (KM3NeT) whose core technology is applied to Exynos 9611. This enables the integration of 12nm to 7nm process technology and stacking of up to 8 chips. Exynos 9611 integrates a neural processing unit (NPU), a domain convergent processor, and a general-purpose processor. It also provides a performance increase of up to 10x compared to its predecessor, as well as higher energy efficiency. The best features of 9611 include the latest 11-nanometer process, which makes it one of the smallest and most advanced in the market today. Other features with this microprocessor include 4 high-performance cores that are 30% faster than previous versions and a new generation for multimedia with a 10% performance increase.
Performance
This processor has a 14-bit DSP with a quad-core GPU, which is even better when it comes to handling multimedia tasks. Exynos 9611, a 3rd generation 10nm chipset, introduces a new CPU architecture. It includes a 5G-ready modem and lower power consumption for better performance. It provides 3x AI performance compared to Exynos 9611 and supports 8K UHD video recording and playback at 120 frames per second. The Exynos 9611 offers a better mainstream experience for smartphones, smart speakers, VR/AR headgear, gateways, and other devices.
Samsung’s Exynos 9611 will be a competitive flagship processor and Exynos processor, and it will be the first to use the company’s 8nm FinFET process for high-end smartphones. The display of an Exynos 9611 chip is AMOLED. For those who are not technical, this term means that it is an additive type. OLED will be discussed in more detail in the next section. Although the Exynos 9611 is also an AMOLED screen, there are some new innovative features that will be explored in this article.
Key points
The Exynos 9611 is Samsung’s latest flagship processor, ahead of its promised release. Arriving in 2018, the Exynos 9611 was Samsung’s first mobile processor to utilize a 10nm manufacturing process, making for a chip that’s more than 12% more efficient than its 14/14nm predecessor. The 2018 Exynos 9611 also sports an 8-core CPU that Samsung claims are “the most powerful CPU ever used on a mobile device”.
The Exynos 9611 looks likely to continue this trend by packing in even more cores and boasting a 12nm manufacturing process, for greater efficiency.
1. 8 Cores
The Exynos 9611’s 4 Cortex A73 cores, 4 Cortex A53 cores, and 4 Cortex A35 cores gave it a total of 16 cores. The Exynos 9611’s 8 cores will double this, providing a performance boost. The 8-core configuration is also said to deliver “significantly higher performance” than the Snapdragon 845.
2. 12nm Process
The Exynos 9611 was manufactured using a 14nm process, whereas the Exynos 9611 is rumored to use a 12nm process. This could allow Samsung to pack in more cores, and improve efficiency.
3. More Efficient
The new 12nm manufacturing process should mean the Exynos 9611 will be more efficient
